I now run an inpatient gero-psych unit in Oklahoma via telemedicine (currently nearly 5000 telemed contacts in 3 years). I thoroughly enjoy my work, but it takes about half of my time. I would be interested in additional telemedicine psychiatric work, inpatient or outpatient. Currently licensed in Oklahoma, New Mexico.

A paper reviewing patient/family satisfaction/perception of psychiatric services for the year before and first year since the inception of telemedicine is being presented at the ATA national meeting and will be published in the May issue of its journal, Telemedicine and eHealth. Results indicate a positive correlation with telemedicine services.

Previously, I lived in Oklahoma where for many years I served as Chief of Psychiatry for Hillcrest Healthcare System in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I also served on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for seventeen years, appointed for three terms by three different governors from both political parties. This is the state's $275 million public mental health agency. From 1994-2007, I served as Board Chair.

I have three decades of clinical experience with young adults to senior adults and extensive administrative experience as well. At this point, I am committed to involvement with telemedicine for the balance of my career, seeing it as the only solution to providing high quality specialty services to rural and underserved populations. With some of the highest numbers of telemedicine contacts in the country,I have demonstrated skill in this vital form of healthcare delivery, with unique expertise in inpatient psychiatric work via telemedicine.

For my full curriculum vitae, contact me via the information provided.
