Telemedicine and E-Health
E-health is
a very broad term that encompasses many different activities related
to the use of the Internet for healthcare. Many of these activities
have focused on administrative functions such as claims processing
or records storage. However, there is an increasing use of e-health
related to patient and clinical care. With this development, the
world of e-health and telemedicine began to merge and ATA started
to address clinical and patient care issues related to e-health.
Information provided here focuses on clinical care and patient education
aspects of e-health and is targeted to the health provider.
