ATA will take under consideration the co-sponsorship of regional and special purpose meetings and/or conferences that meet the following criteria:

  1. The goals and objectives of such meetings are clearly stated and consistent with the mission of the American Telemedicine Association.
  2. The learning objectives and type of activities to be provided are clearly stated.
  3. The meeting does not occur in conflict with the dates of the ATA Annual Meeting or the mid-year meeting of the ATA Industry Council.
  4. The host of the meeting has demonstrated ability and resources to ensure the event will occur as planned.
  5. Presentations promoting or endorsing a specific product or service should not appear in the program or must be properly identified as a commercial presentation.

If approved, the meeting's organizers may use ATA co-sponsorship in marketing for participation in the program. ATA will list the meeting on the ATA web site as a co-sponsored event. Also the ATA membership will be notified of the meeting including its time and place and a reference to its web site. ATA will make available, for a non-profit rate fee, a mailing list of ATA members to be used in promoting the meeting.

If approved, the primary sponsor of the meeting must display the ATA's logo prominently and list ATA as a co-sponsor of the event. ATA will provide membership materials for distribution to those in attendance at the meeting and ATA must be provided with at least one free registration to the meeting. If a representative from ATA is asked to make a presentation at the meeting the travel expenses must be reimbursed and consideration should be given to an appropriate speaking fee. Other financial arrangements may be negotiated, consistent with the interests of the ATA and its educational mission.

A written request must be submitted to ATA, explaining the primary objectives, sponsorship, time and place of the event, the intended audience, and attendance fees. The request should be no more than one page in length.
