The VA San Diego HSRD unit is home to a diverse interdisciplinary group of investigators with VA, NIH, AHRQ and industry funding. The group has 15 active grants on which members are PI or co-PI, with funding totaling $14.3 million. HSRD investigators have research expertise in telehealth, patient self management, treatment adherence, PTSD, sleep apnea, CHF, Hepatitis C, and genomics. In addition, methodology expertise in survey methods, physician-patient communication, decision modeling, cost effectiveness studies, large database analyses, and development/evaluation of internet interventions.
