The University Of South Florida College Of Medicine will provide continuing education credits for the 13th Annual International Meeting of the American Telemedicine Association, including credit for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and attorneys as well as Florida-licensed clinical social workers, psychologists, licensed marriage and family therapists and mental health counselors.
 

Faculty Disclosure
It is the policy of the University of South Florida College of Medicine and the American Telemedicine Association to ensure fair balance, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all presentations. Faculty are expected to disclose any significant relationships with commercial supporters of the annual meeting and/or with manufacturers of any commercial products or services discussed during the educational presentation. ATA’s educational courses are designed for clinical, technical and administrative professionls who work in the field of telemedicine. No prerequisite knowledge or skills are required to participate in these activities.
 

Physicians
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of South Florida College of Medicine and ATA. The University of South Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of South Florida College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 19.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Nurses
The University of South Florida College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This activity is for 19.75 contact hours.

 

Registered Dieticians
The University of South Florida, College of Public Health, CO001 is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) from 2/22/07 to 2/21/10. Registered dietitians (RDs) and dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs) will receive up to 19.75 continuing professional education units (CPEUs) for completion of this program/materials. Continuing Professional Education Provider Accreditation does not constitute endorsement by CDR of a provider, program or materials.

 

Florida Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists
Licensed Mental Health Counselors
The University of South Florida College of Public Health is an approved provider (BAP#433 – Exp. 3/31/09) of continuing education credits for clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, and mental health counseling. This program has been reviewed and approved for up to 23.7 50-minute contact hours.

 

Psychologists
The University of South Florida College of Medicine is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.
