Jana L. Lindsey, RN, CMC

Jana Lindsey is a registered nurse certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Case Management, and the Telemedicine Coordinator for Shriners Hospitals for Children, Honolulu. She has been the coordinator of the Telemedicine Program since its inception in 1999. She has coordinated and conducted telemedicine clinics throughout the State of Hawaii, Micronesia, and Polynesia.

She has co-authored articles and abstracts, given numerous presentations and workshops on telelmedicine/telehealth, and been a member of peer review committees. Ms. Lindsey is the founder and Past Chair of the PICATA (Pacific Islands Chapter of the American Telemedicine Association), the first Regional Chapter of the ATA. She is currently a Board of Director for the American Telemedicine Association and a member of numerous ATA's Special Interest Groups. She is also a Board of Director and President for the Pan Pacific Distance Learning Association, and a member of the Shriners Telemedicine Governance Council. Ms. Lindsey received the Most Outstanding Achievement by an Individual through Distance Learning and Telehealth Award from the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) and was the opening keynote speaker for the CDC's 13th Annual Public Health Distance Learning Summit. Her goal and personal passion is to promote and facilitate telemedicine internationally, which will enhance the provision of healthcare and education in underserved areas.
