Dr. Goldberg is President and led the founding of PAREXEL International's information technology subsidiary, Perceptive Informatics, Inc. PAREXEL is one of the world's leading contract pharmaceutical outsourcing organizations. Perceptive Informatics was established to deliver a portfolio of information technology (IT) products and services (including web portals, interactive voice responses systems (IVRS), electronic data capture, and medical diagnostics) for bio/pharmaceutical companies based upon an application service provider model. Previously, Dr. Goldberg was Senior Vice President responsible for PAREXEL's Advanced Technology & Informatics Group. The group included IT applications support for both internal operations and external clients, while also being responsible for corporate training and process improvement initiatives. Dr. Goldberg joined PAREXEL in 1997, establishing the company's medical imaging group - seeking to leverage imaging data as a surrogate endpoint in evaluating the safety and efficacy of new products. Dr. Goldberg serves on PAREXEL's Executive Committee and as a member of the Information Systems Steering Committee.

Prior to joining PAREXEL, Dr. Goldberg served as President and Director, and helped to found WorldCare, Inc. - a telehealth spin-off from Massachusetts General Hospital established in 1991. He is an internationally recognized leader in telemedicine - the combination of communications technologies with medical services to deliver health care over distance. Dr. Goldberg served as President (1998-2000) and continues as a Director of the American Telemedicine Association, and was founding Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed Telemedicine Journal and e-Health.

Dr. Goldberg received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received his M.D. degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Goldberg was a staff radiologist at MGH and maintains an appointment as Consultant in Radiology.
